4月12日，日本东京，中银胶囊塔在当日正式开始拆除。中银胶囊塔建成于1972年，是东京市中心新陈代谢派建筑的标志性建筑。也是世界首个实用化的胶囊型集合住宅。该模块化建筑的每个胶囊单元被设计为独立可替换式，并应25年更换一次，但是建成后并没有进行过更新。随着日本经济衰退，建筑设计师去世，大楼更新修复一再搁置。并最终于2021年开始清退住户，2022年4月12日正式开始拆除。
